The 11th Geosymposium of Young Researchers „Silesia 2018” is an international conference devoted to young scientists, PhD Students and young doctors interested in Earth Sciences. The conference is of an interdisciplinary character, thanks to which it provides an excellent platform for the presentation of research results in the field of geology, geophysics, geography and environmental protection

Istebna comunne is situated in the southern part of the Silesian province where Poland is bordered by the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The comunne consists of three villages: Istebna, Jworzynka and Koniaków located on the picturesque slopes of the Silesian Beskides. Three villages so called Trójwieś- are described as a lair of the mountaineers way of life. This year’s conference will be held at the Halniak Training and Recreation Center and Halniakowy Dwór(court). These facilities are located in the Istebna near (500m) from the main provincial road.
